Prof. Dr. Metin Ertem successfully led our LiSTO.academy surgical training live and online from the Acıbadem Kozyatağı Hospital in Istanbul presenting two interesting cases of inguinal and abdominal hernia repair. The TEP technique was performed for the inguinal hernia using DynaMesh®-Endolap 3D, followed by a demonstration of the SCOLA techniqe for the abdominal wall hernia using DynaMesh®-CICAT. We are grateful for the exceptional hospitality and on-site support provided by our trusted partner Tutku Saglik Gerecleri Tic. A.S, and we look forward to more international training sessions in Turkey.

Methods, tips and tricks for avoiding possible surgical mistakes are the focus of the workshop.

DynaMesh^®-ENDOLAP 3D implants are used to reinforce connective tissue structures in the groin region. They were specially developed for the endoscopic (laparoscopic) repair of inguinal hernias using current minimally invasive surgical techniques (TEP and TAPP).

DynaMesh^®-CICAT implants are designed for soft tissue reinforcement and soft tissue bridging of the fascial and connective tissue structures of the abdominal wall as part of surgical treatment for epigastric hernias, umbilical or incisional hernias, and also as part of incisional hernia prevention.
