Dear Colleagues,

Very large scrotal hernias sometimes lead to a loss of domain situation. In this case, it is just as important to increase the intra-abdominal volume as it is for abdominal wall defects.

The patients entire intenstine descended into the scrotal hernias and it shows a severely retracted abdominal wall. We would like to show how to use intraoperative fascial traction established laparoscopically to reduce the hernia content. The hernias will be fixed by a Lichtenstein procedure after successful reduction. Up to now this kind of treatment has been done only five times world wide at least to our knowledge.

In this LiSTO.academy Online Webinar we will broadcast live from the Hernia Center Püttlingen / Germany. The focus will be on the presentation of a live surgery procedure and a theory lecture as well as the discussion of possible pitfalls and useful tips.

The workshop is aimed at surgeons who want to learn more about intraoperative fascial traction (IFT) by use of fasciotens® Hernia and inguinal hernia repair by use of DynaMesh®-Lichtenstein implants, deepen their knowledge and apply them.

The verbal real-time interaction between the trainer and the participants offers the possibility to exchange experiences and ask questions directly.

We look forward to welcoming you online.

DynaMesh®-LICHTENSTEIN implants serve to support the tissue and stabilise the fascial structures of the inguinal region. They were specially developed for the conventional repair of inguinal hernias according to Lichtenstein and come in a size which fits the majority of patients and can therefore be used immediately without needing to be cut to size.
